Netflix Friday!

“Nothing But the Truth” is the title of this week’s streaming feature, it has some of the overtones of “All the Presidents Men” from the 1970’s, perhaps the single best movie made by both Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman.

“Nothing But the Truth” is the 2008 political/ethics film starring Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon, Alan Alda, David Schwimmer, Vera Farmiga and Noah Wyle. All of these actors actually have careers that seem to be going somewhere, so you can have confidence that your time won’t be wasted on porr execution of the script.

Like “All the Presidents Men”, “Nothing But the Truth” appears to be about journalistic integrity, but… as the layers peel away you will find yourself, like me, screaming at both the injustice AND the ignorance portrayed. The real twist comes in the final scene of the movie, leaving you challenged about the positions you embraced during the film.

I hope you give this one a spin, it’s a timely movie even though three years old and will keep your interest until the end.
